The photo artist Boris Eldagsen has transformed individual pictures by Wolfgang Petrick from the exhibition DYSTOPIA with AI into his own clips. This artistic approach can be seen as an interpretation or manipulation of the original work. The source of this image animation and its author (Wolfgang Petrick) remain obvious. However, this is no longer the case with most AI images and AI films
are no longer the case. So are viewers helplessly at their mercy?
Eldagsen's lecture illustrates how a lack of knowledge and blurred terminology in a heated debate lead to unreflected fears that can be exploited economically by tech companies and politically by governments.
