How can materials be brought to life? In this vacation course, you will learn various techniques to create hand puppets and disguises from fabric, cardboard, found objects and even light. You will stage your works, turn them into sculptures, dress up and immerse your hand puppets in light and shadow. The space is yours and the Berlinische Galerie becomes your backdrop. You can slip into different roles, experiment and create your own photo series. You will develop a stop motion film from it, because everything remains in motion, because everything is possible. This is also the case in the works of Hannah Höch (1889-1978). Her Dada dolls from 1916/1918 are an inspiration for us, because Hannah Höch began to play with them and transform herself in order to be different together. On the last day, your work will be presented in the project room with a small exhibition opening.
