The tour shows selected spots that have been the backdrop for film or series productions in recent decades. The special conservation and organizational features that have to be taken into account when filming in monuments and museums are also considered. Selected film projects are recalled with short anecdotes and stories.

From the Visitor Center at the New Palace, the tour continues past the Garden Salon ("GZSZ", 2017) to the New Palace ("Dagmar Koller invites you to Sanssouci Park", 1978, "Saxony's Splendor and Prussia's Glory", 1985, "Queen Victoria and her Children", 2002, "Kaisersturz", 2017, "Miss Sophie", 2025). The tour continues to the Orangery Palace. The film projects "Around the World in Eighty Days" (2003) and "Miss Sophie" (2025) are shown in the West Plant Hall.

Jürgen Becher was head of the SPSG's Documentation and Information Centre (DIZ) until 2026, which is responsible for organizing film shoots in the foundation's properties, among other things.Translated with DeepL
