In 1769, Prince Heinrich had the Muschelsaal built based on a design by architect Carl Gotthard Langhans the Elder. It is considered one of the earliest examples of Early Classicism architecture in the Berlin metropolitan area. Over time, the Muschelsaal underwent various changes. A comprehensive restoration carried out from 2015 to 2017 restored the Muschelsaal to its original splendor.
