Two special exhibitions at the Ephraim-Palais on art and migration in Berlin since the 1960s.
The exhibitions “Geteiltes Leben” and “Tapetenwechsel” focus on art and living in a society shaped by migration. Rarely seen works of art and archival material from the 1960s to the present day tell stories of exile, everyday life, and self-determination. Audio interviews offer further perspectives across borders on Berlin’s history and stories. Join us for a guided tour and talk with the curators of both exhibitions.
At the same time, from September 10, 2026, through January 17, 2027, the Gropius Bau will present the exhibition “Kreuzberg: Art and Migration since 1960,” curated by Gürsoy Doğtaş and Patrizia Dander, with Sonja Borstner and Elena Franziska Setzer.
