A life dedicated to nature

The achievements of Michael Succow

Author and Michael Succow biographer Christiane Grefe has taken on the task of capturing Michael Succow's “adventure of life” between two book covers. His experiences and insights as a landscape ecologist, father of the national park program in the former GDR, and winner of the Alternative Nobel Prize, which are recorded in this book, form the focus of the evening. The panel discussion will be framed by excerpts from the documentary film “Wie geht Natur?!” (How does nature work?), produced in 2025 by Kathrin Succow, an expert in nature conservation and civic engagement.
