Wafaa Saied

Berlin-based singer Wafaa Saied (* 2000, Gaza) performs live with her band, weaving traditional songs with personal and collective storytelling. The concert brings together music and oral history to explore cultural resilience.

Drawing on stories from her family and community, Saied blends autobiographical narratives with Palestinian songs and folklore. Through her work, the musician preserves and revives oral traditions that carry collective memory, while creating space for narratives that are often underrepresented or reduced to headlines. Thus, music and storytelling serve her as both acts of preservation and forms of resistance that challenge erasure and silence. Responding to the emotional distance produced by repeated images of extreme violence, Saied fosters closeness, empathy, and attention, sharing lived experiences and Palestinian narratives beyond statistics and media representation.

This concert is presented as a double-bill with Nour Sokhon. We recommend purchasing a combined ticket for both concerts.
