Staatsoper für alle - Open-Air-Concert

Staatsoper für alle - Open-Air-Konzert – Peter Adamik

Staatsoper für alle - Open-Air-Konzert – Peter Adamik

Exactly 20 years ago, “Staatsoper für alle” took place for the first time, and it has undoubtedly been a success story ever since. During the warmer months, the Staatskapelle Berlin’s open-air concert draws tens of thousands of people to Bebelplatz, right next to the Staatsoper Unter den Linden. In this anniversary year, the orchestra and its General Music Director Christian Thielemann celebrate with the Festklängen of Franz Liszt, accompanied by two works by Felix Mendelssohn Bartholdy, who had close ties to Berlin and the former Royal Court Orchestra—today’s Staatskapelle Berlin. The audience can look forward to inspired and inspiring music under the open sky.

Felix Mendelssohn Bartholdy
