When darkness falls and the night spreads its silence, some instruments sound quite special, as if they had been waiting for this very moment. In this evening concert featuring a hands-on workshop, we’ll delve into the soundscapes of two ancient instruments: the Jewish shofar, one of the world’s oldest wind instruments, and the Persian santur, a plucked and struck instrument with a mysterious, sparkling sound. Bar Zemach from the West-Eastern Divan Orchestra and the Iranian musician Parisa Saeednezhad join forces to create a unique musical experience for families, telling tales of Persian nights.
