As one of today’s leading oud virtuosos and curator of the Arabic Music Days, Naseer Shamma has been closely associated with the Pierre Boulez Saal for years. In April 2017, just a few weeks after the hall’s opening, he made his debut here with an unforgettable solo recital. Following numerous performances with different ensembles, the Iraqi musician returns as a soloist for the first time in ten years to present a program of his own works and improvisations.
