Festtage-Konzert Staatskapelle Berlin

Beethoven’s Ninth Symphony is a true icon of classical music, one of the most famous works in the entire repertoire. To mark the Beethoven anniversary in 2027, commemorating the 200th anniversary of his death, this outstanding composition will be performed at the Staatsoper Unter den Linden during the Easter holidays, played by the Staatskapelle Berlin, sung by the Staatsoper Chorus and outstanding vocal soloists, and conducted by General Music Director Christian Thielemann, one of today’s leading Beethoven conductors. And thanks to the broadcast on TV and radio, people around the world will be able to share in this event.
