Elisabeth Leonskaja has long been celebrated as one of today’s great pianists—but she is also an extraordinary chamber musician, beloved for her artistic insights as much as for her personality and humanity. This season she brings two programs to the Pierre Boulez Saal: together with Julius Drake, she presents three of Schubert’s great late works for four-hand piano. A few days later she is joined by Trio Così, led by Wolfram Brandl, concertmaster of the Staatskapelle Berlin, in piano quartets by Mozart and Brahms.
