Genre boundaries mean little to Duo Minerva. Tyrolean clarinettist Johanna Gossner and Vorarlberg accordionist Damian Keller weave together influences from classical music, world music, jazz and the avant-garde into a sound that is unmistakably their own – one that deliberately moves between musical traditions.
With impressive virtuosity and a spirit of experimentation, they create a programme that brings different musical worlds into dialogue, continually opening up new ways of listening. The duo show how openness to a range of influences can give rise to something genuinely original.
After a brief taste at the opening of the European Culture Days, Duo Minerva can now be heard in a full concert programme at the Austrian Cultural Forum Berlin.
