War and Peace: Choral Works by Weill, Eisler, Schoenberg, and others

At a time when peace seems a distant hope for many people around the world, two acclaimed ensembles join forces in a program of 20th-century music that serves as a resounding warning to us all. Chorwerk Ruhr, one of the leading German chamber choirs, and the Belgian ensemble I Solisti perform works by Hanns Eisler, Kurt Weill, Arnold Schoenberg, and others that reflect the horrors of war and violence as well as the hope for reconciliation. Led by Yuval Weinberg, designated chief conductor of Berlin’s Rundfunkchor, War and Peace is both a musical memorial and an urgent call to action.
