For her video work La Banda (2024) from her current solo exhibition at Hamburger Bahnhof, Annika Kahrs collaborated with the intergenerational orchestra Banda Musicale di Olevano Romano. She asked the musicians to perform an experimental parade through the alleys, streets and squares of the Italian village of Olevano Romano. The musical dramaturgy of the work focuses less on the perfect interplay of the musicians and more on the moment when the group comes together and interacts.
For the Gallery Weekend and the closing of the exhibition, the wind orchestra from Italy will perform for the first time in Berlin and play a concert in the museum's garden.
