20 Jahre Radialsystem: 20 Jahre Zukunft

Die Musik ist wild, eigenwillig, atmosphärisch, witzig und mitreißend zugleich: Auch das Andromeda Mega Express Orchestra feiert in diesem Jahr sein 20-jähriges Bestehen.

The music is wild, wilful, atmospheric, witty, and thrilling all at once: the Andromeda Mega Express Orchestra is also celebrating it’s 20th year of existence this year. To get things started, there will be a big concert on 11 September 2026, as part of the “20 Jahre Radialsystem” programme. The ensemble will play works from various creative phases over the last few years, alongside new works which are designed to be one thing above all: surprising.

Under the leadership of Berlin composer Daniel Glatzel, the Andromeda Mega Express Orchestra has captivated audiences for two decades. It is known for its impressively high energy levels, ingenuity, and artistic madness, while skilfully juggling genres, styles, and music-historical references. Its musicians tap into musical registers from the most diverse cultural contexts – with an almost outrageous nonchalance.

Since its formation in 2006, the ensemble has constantly recreated itself. With over 120 works that have been composed and arranged especially for this resonating body, four internationally renowned albums, innumerable concerts worldwide, and countless projects and cooperations, the AMEO is celebrating 20 years of existence with multiple special programmes.

Funded by the Capital Cultural Fund (Hauptstadtkulturfonds). The concert “20 Jahre Zukunft” is presented as part of “20 Jahre Radialsystem.”
