We miss our original home on Behrenstraße so much! That’s why the Komische Oper Berlin is launching “Metropol 26,” a new series of intimate concerts designed to bring the construction site to life through music once a year. In doing so, we’ll look back at the past and forward to the present: What was performed in this building in 1926—exactly 100 years ago—when it was still called the Metropol Theater? And what’s on the Komische Oper Berlin’s program today, in 2026? Join our ensemble members on a journey through the revues and operettas of the Golden Twenties, interspersed with highlights from our current core repertoire.
Please noteDue to the construction site conditions, safety gear must be worn during the event; we will provide this on-site. Participants must be at least 16 years old and must be able to walk with absolute sure-footedness. Tickets are available for 40 euros, including a drink after the performance.
Due to special on-site requirements, we must ask you to sign a declaration regarding the construction site tour before the concert begins. You are welcome to read through this declaration and an information sheet with all the details in advance here.
