Lamento for Latency

Tanzperformance über das Zögern zwischen Impuls und Bewegung

As we scroll, bodies grow quieter, while other networks grow louder. On the internet, we are connected and alone. Misunderstandings pile up, and anti-communication becomes an endless space. “Lamento for Latency” is a dance performance about the hesitation between impulse and movement, touch and echo. Latency describes the delay between an event and the subsequent reaction. It is both a technical phenomenon and a deeply human experience—of time, closeness, and what is lost before it arrives. The performance focuses on the body absent from the digital fabric: receiving, delaying, transmitting. Two dancers form a real-time network in which connection and delay, resonance and misunderstanding are inextricably interwoven.
