Konzerthaus Kammerorchester

Konzerthaus Kammerorchester

Our musicians come together several times each season, not only as a large symphonic orchestra but also as the Konzerthaus Chamber Orchestra – this time conducted by our Principal Violinist, Sayako Kusaka, who is also the ensemble’s Artistic Director. Decisions regarding the works and line-ups for the concerts are always made collectively. In its final concert of the season, the orchestra spans the 17th to the 21st centuries, with music from Johann Bernhard Bach to Caroline Shaw. It is a tradition at the KHKO to invite at least one soloist from among our principal wind players each season – José Luis Cortell Añó, principal horn with the Konzerthaus Orchestra since 2024, has chosen a work by Joseph Haydn for this occasion.
