Konzerthaus Kammerorchester

Konzerthaus Kammerorchester

Lead by our First Concertmaster Suyoen Kim, the self-organised Konzerthaus Kammerorchester opens the season with two cheerful, highly popular pieces for string orchestra: the old-style suite “From Holberg’s Time” by the Norwegian composer Edvard Grieg, and Tchaikovsky’s Serenade for Strings. Rounding off this romantic programme is an arrangement of three pieces entitled “Memories of a Beloved Place”, which Tchaikovsky composed in “idyllic seclusion” at the Brailov country estate of his patron and friend Nadezhda von Meck in 1878.
