The “Orchester des Wandels” (“Orchestra of Change”) initiative, which the KHO joined in fall 2025, describes its mission as follows: „We see climate, nature, and species protection as part of our cultural mandate. As musicians, we want to take action on this important issue and address the climate crisis in creative concert formats. For us, the emotional power of music is the medium through which we can reach and inspire people [...].“ This season, too, KHO wind and string players, along with a female guest musician on harpsichord and piano, will perform a matinee concert as part of KHO's membership. The programme features works dedicated to the forest. In keeping with the musical theme, participants will also give a brief talk of around 10 minutes about the types of wood used in instrument-making.
