Ludwig van Beethoven died 200 years ago. Akamus are paying tribute to the great composer with an evening of sextets. The programme features works by Mozart, Reicha and, of course, Beethoven himself.The winner of numerous awards, performing all over the world and long celebrated on our stage for its subscription series: the Akademie für Alte Musik Berlin is as renowned for its authentic sound as it is for continually unearthing musical treasures from the 17th to the 19th centuries and presenting familiar works – from Bach, Handel and Telemann to Haydn, Mozart and Beethoven – in a fresh light.
