Senate prepares for more Corona cases in autumn

The Senate is convinced that Berlin must already prepare for a possible renewed increase in the number of Corona infections in autumn.

"We have agreed that the responsible senator will prepare a senate bill for June that includes a concept of measures to prepare Berlin for the Corona infection situation that may come again in autumn," said Governing Mayor Franziska Giffey (SPD) on Tuesday after a meeting of the senate.

Development of Corona figures currently positive

Currently, the development in the 7-day incidence rate, the utilisation of intensive care beds and the proportion of infected people coming to hospital is positive, Giffey said. "But the point is that we are preparing." Health Senator Ulrike Gote (Greens) is then to explain the new concept of measures in the Senate.
