Open Heritage Day at the weekend: discover around 350 monuments

This weekend, numerous historical sites in Berlin and Brandenburg are once again opening their doors to the public for Heritage Day.

Curious visitors can explore Tempelhofer Feld in the capital on Sunday with three guided tours. The tours take place at 10 am, 11 am and 12:30 pm. Registration is open until Sunday.

Tickets for the ICC already sold out

Also on Sunday, a tour of the garden city on Südwestkorso will be offered. Historic buses will run on lines 118, 218 and 316 in western Berlin. The ICC Berlin will open its doors on Saturday and Sunday for Open Monument Day. The free tours are already fully booked, but tickets are still available for the screening of the film "Metropolis" on Saturday.

Around 350 monuments can be visited

Guided tours are also planned at the former Teufelsberg listening station and the Wilmersdorf Mosque. According to the State Office for the Preservation of Historical Monuments, over 350 monuments will be open in Berlin on Saturday and Sunday, with around 900 events planned. An overview can be found on a map on the internet (in german). However, last-minute visitors should check in advance whether registration is required. Some events are already fully booked.
