In view of the falling temperatures, the Berliner Stadtmission (Berlin City Mission) is calling for donations of warm jackets and coats.
“Many people in Berlin don't have an apartment of their own, some don't even have a warm jacket to snuggle up in when the weather is windy,” announced the city mission. In the coming week, unused, clean and intact winter coats will therefore be collected as donations.
From Tuesday to Thursday (November 5-7) between 7 a.m. and 9 a.m., winter jackets can be handed in at the collection point on Washingtonplatz at the Berlin Central Station at stands with blue and red flags. The initiative, called “WrapUp”, is taking place for the second time in Berlin. Various organizations such as the Berlin City Mission and Moabit hilft are behind it.
