Strike from Wednesday evening: Berlin S-Bahn affected

A signal on the railway line between Ostkreuz and Warschauer Straße stations is red.

The warning strike by the train drivers' union GDL is also affecting Berlin. "Massive disruptions to S-Bahn services are expected", the S-Bahn announced on X, formerly Twitter, on Tuesday evening.

The GDL has called on its members to go on a warning strike from Wednesday, 10 pm to Thursday, 6 pm. According to the Berlin S-Bahn, there may be disruptions before the strike begins and after it ends. "Use alternative means of transport," advised the S-Bahn.

BVG is not on strike

Berlin's Berliner Verkehrsbetriebe (BVG) are not affected by the train drivers' union strike. Buses, U-Bahn trains, Tramways and ferries will be travelling as usual.
