Anyone who wants to buy the 49-euro ticket online from the Berlin public transport company BVG for the coming May still has time to do so - up to and including April 20.
From this day on, the ticket for May can only be issued in time at the company's local customer centers, BVG announced on Tuesday. The processing of customer data takes so much time that online orders from April 20 onwards can no longer be processed in time for May, it said. Previously, the company had set the deadline for April 10 and has now extended it by ten days.
The 49-euro subscription ticket will be valid nationwide on all buses and trains of the local and regional transport from next May. It can be purchased not only from the BVG but also from all other transport companies in Germany. The ticket costs 49 euros per month and can be canceled monthly. Otherwise it is automatically renewed.
