A large fire broke out at a landfill site in Berlin-Spandau on Easter Sunday.

About 300 cubic metres of bulky waste are burning, as the fire brigade announced on Twitter. The fire brigade is there with 45 people - including a fire-fighting boat and a wheel loader. The operation on the premises of a waste management company on Sophienwerderweg in Spandau will last several hours, they said. Huge clouds of smoke were forming.
