49-Euro-Ticket also available at Berlin S-Bahn

Bus in Berlin

A bus drives past the Zoological Garden in Berlin.

From Monday, the 49-euro ticket can be purchased not only online and at the Berlin transport companies, but also at the S-Bahn's customer centres.

"Anyone who applies for the subscription up to and including 10 April will receive the chip card on time before 1 May," the company announced on Friday. The so-called Deutschlandticket will then also be available via the digital channels of the railway and the S-Bahn. The Federal Council had approved the introduction of the monthly ticket for buses and trains in local public transport, which is valid nationwide.
