The new police station at Kottbusser Tor in Kreuzberg opens on Wednesday.
Since the opening date had been known for some time, a protest by opponents of the station has also been announced for Wednesday morning at Kottbusser Tor. The police station is located on the second floor of a high-rise building in the overpass over Adalbertstraße. According to the Senate, the cost of converting the premises was around 3.24 million euros.
Three police officers will be on duty at the new station in shifts around the clock. They will be the contact persons for problems in the neighborhood. Additional police officers will continue to patrol the Kottbusser Tor area in Kreuzberg.
