Due to several demonstrations in Mitte, numerous restrictions on road traffic are to be expected on Saturday.
This was pointed out by the traffic information centre on Saturday. Among other things, the police are planning to close roads and pavements. Bus lines are also affected by the traffic disruptions. Drivers are asked to observe stopping restrictions.
Several thousand demonstrators are expected in Berlin's government district on Saturday. Among others, the AfD has registered a demonstration against the policies of the federal government under the motto "Energy security and protection against inflation - Our country first" with 4000 participants. After the opening rally at the Platz der Republik in front of the Reichstag building, the participants want to march through Wilhelmstrasse and Friedrichstrasse, but also across Potsdamer Platz and later back through Scheidemannstrasse and Paul-Löbe-Allee.
