The wholesale market on Beusselstraße will also be cleared, the S-Bahn traffic will be interrupted and several roads will be closed, the police said. Starting at 8 am, an exclusion zone with a radius of 500 meters will be set up. A total of 9000 people who live or work there will be affected. The evacuation of the area, where residential building as well as commercial enterprises, company headquarters and offices are located, is expected to last several hours. The Berlin-Mitte District Office is setting up assembly points which will be served by shuttle buses.

Due to the defusing of a bomb from World War II in Moabit, thousands of people have to leave their homes and offices on Monday morning.
Assembly points will be established
Exit restricted area from 8 am
The 50-kilogram bomb was found during construction work on Sickingenstraße, west of Beusselstraße, in Moabit. In order to defuse it, the bomb is to be detonated in a controlled manner on Monday. Police urged people: "For your own safety, please leave the restricted zone from 8 am on Monday." More information will follow on the Twitter channel Einsatz der Berliner Polizei.
District sets up hotline for evacuation
The Mitte district office has set up a hotline to answer questions from residents and those affected. It can be reached by phone from Friday to Sunday 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. and on Monday 6 a.m. to 8 p.m. at +49 30 901 846 660 or by e-mail at bombenfund@ba-mitte.berlin.de. Especially for bedridden people or people who can not help themselves, as well as for social and care institutions support is given as needed.
Interruptions to S-Bahn traffic
During the actual defusing, the Ringbahn will not run on the section bestween Westend and Beusselstraße for a short period of time. The police had previously informed residents via information slips that the interruptions concerned the section between Jungfernheide and Beusselstraße.
