Berlin House of Representatives debates 29-euro ticket

Plenarsitzung Berliner Abgeordnetenhaus

The Berlin House of Representatives is debating the energy crisis and possible relief for citizens today.

The subject of a special debate is the planned 29-Euro-Ticket for public transport, which is to be offered in Berlin in October, November and December. The ticket for the Berlin metropolitan area, which is financed by the state, is to be available by subscription and is seen as a temporary solution after the nationwide 9-euro ticket expired. The hope of the Senate is that a uniform nationwide fare system for public transportation will then take effect from 2023.
