Muva succeeds Berlkönig: BVG launches new call-bus service

Berlkönig

After the Berlkönig comes Muva: this is the name under which Berlin's public transport company is putting a new call bus on the road.

This Thursday, the new ridesharing service is to be launched, as announced by the state enterprise. Further details will be announced then. As with the Berlkönig, the partner is Via. The contract runs until 2025.

Half of the Berlkönig journeys replaced car journeys

The field trial with the Berlkönig came to an end in June after almost four years. 1.85 million passengers used the minibuses. The aim was to relieve urban traffic. The accompanying research came to the conclusion that more than half of the Berlkönig journeys replaced car journeys.
