Drivers in Berlin can expect restrictions and road closures in the City West area on Saturday.
From 2 PM onwards, the dance parade "Rave the Planet" is expected to start at Kurfürstendamm with tens of thousands of participants. According to Berlin's Traffic Information Center (VIZ), there will already be closures during the set-up phase in the morning. In addition to Kurfürstemdamm, Tauentzienstraße, Kleiststraße, Nollendorfplatz, Bülowstraße, Potsdamer Straße, Potsdamer Platz and Eberstraße will also be affected. In addition, Straße des 17. Juni between the Brandenburg Gate and the Victory Column will be closed from 4 AM until late at night. The BVG also pointed out various restrictions on local transport from 2 PM due to the event.
"Rave the Planet" was launched by the founder of the Loveparade, Dr. Motte. Under the motto "Together again," the dance parade is about, among other things, the recognition and preservation of electronic dance music culture as a cultural achievement.
