Warning strike at Easyjet in Berlin: 20 flights cancelled

Easyjet

Warning strikes have affected Easyjet flights at BER Airport since early Friday morning (June 10, 2022).

"The first flights have been canceled," Verdi negotiator Holger Rößler said on Friday. According to Easyjet, around 20 flights were to be canceled in the morning. The majority of the rest of the flight schedule with about 130 flights to and from Berlin, however, should be maintained.

Strike planned from 5 to 10 AM

The union had called on about 450 cabin employees of Easyjet to stop work at the Berlin site between 5 and 10 AM. According to information from the airport on the Internet, early flights to Nice, Mallorca, Amsterdam, Malaga, Copenhagen and London were canceled. Isolated Easyjet flights were able to take off in the morning because replacement personnel were deployed. Easyjet had advised customers to check the status of their flights on the Internet before heading to the airport.
