VBB: Subscription customers do not have to take any further action for the 9-Euro-Ticket

9-Euro-Ticket

All subscription customers in the Berlin-Brandenburg transport association (VBB) are to benefit from the planned 9-euro ticket - they don't have to make any effort.

All subscribers can sit back and relax, the VBB announced on Friday. "There will be automatic reductions for existing subscriptions, so that only the 9 euros per month will apply." The previous day, the federal and state governments had clarified further details at the transport ministers' conference.

Campaign from June to August

Accordingly, students with their semester tickets should also be able to participate in the campaign. However, some regulations would still have to be clarified here. "More detailed information will be available shortly from the respective university administrations." With the 9-Euro-Ticket, the federal government wants to strengthen the demand for public transport and relieve users. So far, it is planned that the monthly ticket will be available from 1 June until the end of August 2022 and will be valid nationwide. The 9 euros will be charged per month.
