The water in Berlin's indoor swimming pools is set to get a little warmer again. The temperature will be raised from 26 to 27 degrees across the board starting next Monday, according to the swimming pool operators.

This is possible because the state of Berlin is providing additional funding this year. At the start of the war in Ukraine, the water temperature in indoor pools had been lowered by two degrees.

The new rates are being well received

Many people had expressed a desire to have the water temperature in the pools raised again. "We are happy to accommodate this request to the best of our ability," the pool operators announced. The new subscription memberships, available in three different tiers, have been well received, according to the operators. Since January, nearly 2,700 subscription contracts have been signed - almost three times as many as the number of annual passes previously available. The multi-visit pass with 20 entries for Berlin’s outdoor pools has been on sale for several days. It is transferable and valid all summer long at all outdoor pools, regardless of the pool’s category. It costs 70 euros in advance at the ticket counters of open indoor pools. Starting with the beginning of the summer season on May 1, the regular price of 80 euros applies.
