Since the beginning of the year, period products have been available free of charge in the five public toilets in Berlin that are staffed, as part of a trial.

This pilot project aims to test whether the provision of period products in such toilets works and whether the offer is accepted. This was pointed out by the Senate Department for the Environment together with Wall, the company that operates the toilets. The offer is available in Berlin-Mitte in the WC centres on Alexanderplatz and at the Rotes Rathaus on Rathausstraße at the corner of Spandauer Straße, in Charlottenburg at the Gedächtniskirche and at Ku'damm 226, as well as at Spandauer Markt.
