On December 1, new parking zones will be added in Charlottenburg-Wilmersdorf and Neukölln.
In Charlottenburg-Wilmersdorf, there are six new zones (numbers 126 to 131) around Kurfürstendamm, Lietzensee, and Kaiserdamm. In Neukölln, the Rollberg neighborhood (zone 101) between Hermannstraße and Karl-Marx-Straße is being managed.
Parking there is now only permitted with a resident parking permit, parking ticket, or special permit. The fees are around four euros per hour in Neukölln and around 50 cents per 15 minutes in Charlottenburg-Wilmersdorf. The expansion is intended to improve the parking situation in the neighborhoods and reduce through traffic. According to the district office, Neukölln is planning further parking zones in the coming years. Parking management is also to be gradually extended to Rixdorf. In the long term, the district office wants to implement comprehensive parking zones for residents within the S-Bahn ring.
