Franziska Giffey, Mayor of Berlin and Senator for Economic Affairs, Energy and Public Enterprises, comments:
“House of Games Berlin is becoming a home for the capital’s growing games industry. With Ubisoft Berlin as its first anchor tenant, we have taken a decisive step forward. This is exactly the right decision and demonstrates that Berlin has long established itself as Germany’s Games Capital and as one of Europe’s leading locations for this highly innovative industry. Berlin is already the largest games labour market among Germany’s federal states, with around 3,300 employees – and the trend is rising. We will continue working to ensure that, also through House of Games Berlin, Berlin becomes a place where more and more established companies, start-ups, creatives and researchers come together.”
