German Developer's Award for Best Game goes to Berlin-based studio Toukana

It was streamed live on Twitch from Cologne and hosted by Fabian Siegismund, Natascha Becker, Valentina Birke and Colin Gäbel.

Berlin was the front-runner of the show as six of the fifteen trophies went to studios and institutions from the capital. Apart from the most sought-after award for Best Game that went to Toukana for their first game Dorfromantik, Studio Fizbin was able to snatch trophies for Best Studio and Best Sound (Minute of Islands) and Albion Online from Sandbox Interactive won Best Mobile Game. On top of that, The Advancement Award for Young Developers of NRW was rewarded to Twisted Ramble Games and the Innovation Award of Cologne went to Realities.io for Puzzling Places. To round it all off, the Berlin-based Stiftung Deutsche Spielekultur was rewarded the Special Recognition for Social Commitment for their project “Stronger with Games”

The German Developer’s Award takes place since 2004 and is the oldest reward for the development of excellent computer games from German-speaking countries.
