German Computer Game Award 2026

What a festive evening, what a historic venue, what fantastic games! On the evening of April 29, 2026, the 2026 German Computer Game Award (DCP) was presented in the heart of Munich. We’re thrilled that 5 awards went to studios from #GamesCapitalBerlin. With a total of 17 nominations and five final winners, the Berlin-Brandenburg region has once again secured a leading position in the games industry.

• Best German Game: “The Darkest Files” by Paintbucket Games
• Best Serious Game: for “The Darkest Files” by Paintbucket Games
• Best Graphic Design: for “The Berlin Apartment” by Blue Backpack and ByteRockers’ Games
• Best Story: for “The Berlin Apartment” by Blue Backpack and ByteRockers’ Games
• Best Family Game: for “Flick Shot Rogues” by Butter By The Fish and Noodlecake Studios

Berlin-Brandenburg impresses with 17 nominations and 5 DCP awards in 2026—boasting a unique concentration of talent and innovative studios. As the next host of the DCP 2027 in Berlin, the region is positioning itself as a double winner: strong game productions AND a future DCP host city.
