Dorfromantik board game is rewarded Game of the Year

After winning both the Deutscher Entwicklungspreis und Deutscher Computerspielpreis for Best Game, the triumphal march does not stop at the board game world. On July 16, the jury of the Spiel des Jahres 2023 comission awarded Dorfromantik with the first prize.

Based on its source material, this cooperative tile-laying game involves creating an idyllic game world from hexagonal landscape pieces – with the points earned, further elements can be unlocked. Jury statement: “Dorfromantik takes the pressure out of everyday life. The cooperative feel-good game sets new, exciting goals from game to game, but you can never lose.”
