Deutscher Computerspielpreis

The German Computer Game Prize (DCP) is the most important prize for the German games industry.

As a joint initiative of the industry and the German Bundestag, the DCP has been awarded since 2009. The industry association game – Association of the German Games Industry, together with the Federal Government, awards the development of innovative computer and video games “made in Germany”.

High-ranking expert and main juries select the best games from Germany and the creative minds behind the games according to aspects such as quality, innovative content, gaming fun as well as cultural and educational standards.

The gala for the presentation of the German Computer Game Prize is sponsored by the Medienboard Berlin-Brandenburg and the Bavarian State Ministry for Digital Affairs in alternating years.
