The Games Funding is part of the New Media Funding of the Medienboard. It supports the development and production of games of all genres: casual games, large independent productions, projects by established companies and debut productions. Prototype development, games production as well as DLCs are eligible for funding.

The New Media Funding of the Medienboard also funds immersive content. It supports the development and production of immersive and innovative content: virtual/augmented/mixed-reality experiences as well as multi-platform projects.

The Transfer BONUS Gamification by Projekt Zukunft supports projects for the transfer of gamification know-how in Berlin SMEs up to €30,000.

The Transfer BONUS programme helps to finance innovative projects between companies and research institutions or design companies from Berlin and Brandenburg in the field of technology, knowledge transfer and design services.

The Pro FIT – early stage or project financing helps you to establish your business infrastructure and expand the needed HR capacities for an innovation project. The practical online financing from the IBB to implement technical developments will help you to realize your ideas during all phases of the innovation process.

With qualified university and college graduates, you can get ahead with new projects and expand know-how at your company. On behalf of Berlin’s Senate Department, IBB provides grants to cover personnel costs and so promote the hiring of innovation assistants in Berlin.

Under the Berlin Innovativ programme, loans of up to €2 million are granted with a 70% exemption from liability via the applicant’s bank in order to finance investment and working capital.

The GründungsBONUS provides a grant to cover the costs incurred in the first one to two years of your company.

The GWR programme is a scheme to improve regional business structures. It offers grants to cover investment or wage costs facilitated by the IBB in order to support investment projects to create and secure permanent jobs.

IBB Ventures invests venture capital in growth companies in Berlin’s digital economy and creative industry to strengthen their equity basis. The funds of the VC Fonds Berlin are provided in order to finance development, launch of innovative, scalable products or to achieve quick company growth.

The federal funding program for video games systematically supports game developments in Germany with loans up to several million Euro.

Creative Europe offers EU-Funding for the development of games and game concepts.

IBB is the business development bank of the Federal Sate of Berlin. Its business development activities are geared primarily towards loan-based and investment-orientated forms of finance, which are offered as revolving support funds. IBB Ventures invest public funds as venture capital. Their focus is on innovative Berlin based start-ups with a focus on Creative Industries, Life Sciences, Industrial Technologies, ICT (Information & Communication Technologies). The IBB Business Team GmbH implements Berlin funding instruments on behalf of the State of Berlin. The company is a 100% subsidiary of the Investitionsbank Berlin.

Medienboard Berlin-Brandenburg is the main institution for the film and audio-visual media industry in the German capital region. The New Media department funds media-related projects, serial formats as well as the development of content in the categories games, web, mobile and VR.

Projekt Zukunft develops strategies for Berlin as a location and ecosystem for the digital and creative economy. The guiding principle is for Berlin to be a creative, innovative and economically successful metropolis with an international presence. As a link between economy, science and politics Projekt Zukunft builds platforms, initiates networks and organizes exchanges, develops new support instruments, compiles studies and implements innovative projects for the ecosytem.
