TARO.CAPA.X

Gerda Taro and Robert Capa were two of the first practitioners of “participatory photography” – fearlessly documenting the Spanish Civil War and risking their lives in doing so. War photography creates a tele-intimate, surreal proximity to the destruction, death and suffering of others. It moves between responsible information and artistic participation. TARO.CAPA.X reflects upon the strength of images and honors the courage of everyone who, today as well as back then, bear witness to the horrors of war with their camera.
