Make Love Not War

Make Love Not War

»All nationalities aside, in the end, we are all just horny human beings desperate for connection.« Orit Nahmias

After the success of her stand-up show Female Shit, in which Orit Nahmias candidly shared her painful and hilarious stories about moving from Tel Aviv to Berlin, and becoming a mother while trying to save her marriage, she is returning to the Gorki with her new show, Make Love Not War. This time, she takes to the stage as a middle-aged, divorced woman grappling with a fear of death and a lust for life. With brutal honesty and self-irony, she dives into the messy intersection of love, sex, trauma and politics, fully aware of how explosive and triggering these topics can be. Make Love Not War is thus the story of a woman determined to find meaningful connections in a world that feels as though it is falling apart. Along the way, she pushes the boundaries of her body, spirit, and heart. But mostly the body. As she puts herself out there with no filters, Orit asks her audience not to see her as an Israeli or a Jew, but as a sex goddess.
