If science is queen at Humboldt Lab, then #Logoskop is her court jester. Since 2021, artistic freedom has been making monthly appearances at Humboldt University’s exhibition space, using literature to shake up the scientific perspective. Equipped with microphones and amplifiers, two slam poets wander through the exhibition and recite texts.
This time, slam poets Mona Harry and Wolf Hogekamp will be joining us. Together, they will comment on the exhibition ‘On Water’ with live recitations. Visitors are invited to accompany them on their tour of eloquence.

Mona Harry lives in Kiel and has been performing on poetry slam stages across the German-speaking world since late 2011. Videos of her piece *Liebesgedicht an den Norden* went viral on YouTube and attracted considerable attention. In 2015, she reached the final of the German-speaking Poetry Slam Championships. In 2020, she was awarded the Young Talent Prize as part of the Schleswig-Holstein Art Prize. In 2021, she won the Schleswig-Holstein Poetry Slam Championships.
Her collection of poems Fliegen ist doch eigentlich ganz leicht (Flying is actually quite easy), her cycling guide Ins Blaue (Into the Blue), and her children’s books Die Dinge & wir (Things & Us), Mutproben (Tests of Courage) and Lexikon der ganz ganz sicher nicht ausgedachten Tierarten (Encyclopaedia of Animal Species That Are Definitely Not Made Up) were published by KJM Buchverlag. She is also featured in numerous anthologies. As a regular contributor to the Kiel reading stage Irgendwas mit Möwen (Something with Seagulls), she can be seen at the Kiel Kulturforum on the first Thursday of every month. Her melodious, rhythmic texts are vivid and often written with a touch of humour and a wink.
Wolf Hogekamp is the founding father of German-language poetry slam. His work follows in the tradition of the ‘genius amateurs’. This Berlin original is co-editor of the ‘Poetry Slam Primer’ (Satyr Verlag), the standard work on German-language poetry slam. He published the poetry collection ‘Es regnet Ponys’ (Lektora Verlag) and the first DVD of poetry clips, the first collection of poetry slam texts in video format.
The trained filmmaker is the organiser of Germany’s oldest poetry slam event series. He is the founder and creator of the German Poetry Slam Championships and performs at festivals as a musician and songwriter under the name Schneekönig.
