What happens when a world you took for granted disappears? “Feeling A: A Herstory of the Fall of the Berlin Wall” is a poetic performance piece about upheaval, coming of age, and loss. The story centers on Anja, who, as a teenager in 1989, experiences the collapse of the world she knew. Things disappear, people leave, certainties dissolve—and a new era begins.
From a personal and queer perspective, the performance recounts the contradictory experiences of the fall of the Berlin Wall and the post-reunification era: of new beginnings and freedom, but also of farewells, uprooting, and the loss of life plans. Documentary theater, punk rock, live music, and acrobatics on the Chinese pole come together to create a physical and musical journey down memory lane.
What remains of a bygone world—and what do we lose when history is rewritten? For ages 15 and up.
